This was the Danes’ last test before the league kicks off again next weekend. For Rosenborg, it is still many weeks until the serious things starts in Norway on the last weekend in March. Brøndby created the most before the break, but Rosenborg put the first ball in the net, but the goal after a corner was doubtfully disallowed for attacking on the goalkeeper. Just before half an hour had passed, the Danes took the lead when Yuito Suzuki’s shot deflected off a Rosenborg defender and outmaneuvered goalkeeper Sander Tangvik. After 35 minutes, it was 2-0 on the scoreboard at Estadio Algarve, thanks to a great finish from Noah Nartey from outside the box.

With fifteen minutes left to play in regular time, it was ready for goal number three. A mispass from the goalkeeper was intercepted and Mileta Rajovic put the ball safely into the goal. Rosenborg did not give up and two minutes later Isak Yhorvaldsson scored after Brøndby lost the ball in the middle of their own half. and with a minute left, Dino Islamovic headed in the Norwegian team’s second goal. Brøndby held on in the final seconds and returns home from The Atlantic Cup with a good experience before the start of the league in Denmark.
