The opening match in this year’s Atlantic Cup was a goal-rich one. Mathias Kvistgaarden opened the ball with a great header on a Daniel Vass corner after 19 minutes. The Danes deservedly went into the break with a 2-0 lead, Yuiuto Suzuki was the scorer. After Brøndby’s dominance in the first 45, the Americans came back stronger after the break, and reduced the lead five minutes into the half. With a quarter of an hour to play, Mileta Rajovic headed in the Danes’ third. A few minutes later, Dallas received a penalty kick after Logan Farrington was fouled and he himself put the ball safely in the net, and thus it ended with a 3-2 victory for Brøndby.
